More funding is needed and this raffle is a first step - The Sunburst Project and all of the Florida greyhounds who have found hoes because of them, appreciates your participation in this raffle.

Total to GALT: $7,000!

This 24" X 14" sculpture of two greyhounds was created by Carol Orwin, British sculptor.

It is being offered in support of the Injured Reserve Greyhounds at The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas. With "No dog left behind" as their motto, GALT's expenses for rehabilitating racers with broken legs, strays with heartworm disease and malnutrition, lurchers taken in by local shelters - especially dogs accepted from cruelty seizures, there is just no end to veterinary bills.

After admiring Ms Orwin's exquisite artistry for more than 10 years, we're offering this piece to benefit a group we admire and another family of supporters has offered to match what we earn here.

Now, with 50 greyhounds at any one time in the facility, she's still doing it- only a whole lot more!

We hope you'll want to win this elegant pendant and sterling collar, but of more importance, we hope you'll consider the purchase of some raffle tickets among one of your year-end contributions to help cover the cost of Heather's December haul.

Help us to help Heather deliver these greyhounds ALL the way home for the holidays!

Congratulations to Stephanie LaNoue of Plano TX

for helping us reach $1525 in ticket sales!
We're mailing a check for $1750 and special thanks to GT for putting the amount over $1500 allowing for the round-up to the next level.
Your purchase, GT, made a big difference for GST!

In my mind, there is nothing more important we can do for greyhounds right now than to help with transporting them to adoption groups.

With thirteen greyhound racetracks in Florida and most states having none at all, the state is saturated with pets while distant parts of the country are begging for greyt companions. Stepping up to the plate is Greyhound Support Transport who stands ready to haul greyhounds, lacking only the money to do it more often.

We can help! This lovely handcrafted box by a Humboldt County artisan comes with a spectacular pendant! Your ticket purchases will help, 100%, to assure one more greyhound is transported to one more waiting home!

Congratulations to Barbara Mecca of Hoffman Estates IL

We're mailing a check for $2750 (rounded up to the nearest $250)
along with $250 in "refunds" from GT in DC, and GT in PA
who both directed their earned refunds to The Alliance.

This all-volunteer Midwest organization works with just about ANYbody to achieve their goals: "The Greyhound Alliance is dedicated to greyhound welfare, facilitating greyhound rescue and adoption, and furthering education and support for greyhound owners, potential adopters, and the community at large. Whether through education, fundraising, or more hands-on efforts like transport and placement, we are committed to doing our part."

The majority of TGA's effort is put into hauling Southern Dogs North- which is our main incentive in offering NCG support with this raffle. We hope you'll think of your ticket purchase as providing the means to transport one more greyhound to safety.

We've mailed a check for $3500 today to CIGA!

This is our annual raffle for CIGA- a group who we admire enough to repeat the effort every year. CIGA isn't an adoption group per se, they exist primarily to move dogs to adoption groups from the Dubuque and Dairyland racetracks, and, specifically, to take in the broken legs, pay for the surgeries, foster throughout rehab, and then turn healthy greyhounds over to adoption groups to place- most often Greyhounds Only in Chicago.

Visit the Raffle Page for more pictures and information. Imagine each of last year's broken legs pictured (200 legs in 10 years!) multiplied by $2000-$3000 and you'll realize how deserving these folks are all year long!

With the closing of the last of Colorado's greyhound racetracks, AHH has become a safe haven for the underdogs: the aged pets from farms, the broodies, the injured, and pups with no racing future. Currently, 30% of the population at AHH is over 7 years of age.

We hope you'll buy a ticket (or lots of them!), or contribute directly to AHH, or convince your adoption group to accept some of Dr. Weir's special needs greyhounds.

Handed out to anyone who asked for them, or remaining in limbo at the track and GAIN's shelter, as many as 300 greyhounds need our help.

Those being picked up by GAIN volunteers are found abandoned, starved, and abused. We've just added happy pics of new arrivals to the US- worth a look!

Guam is a US territory. We are US citizens, and NCG feels compelled to take a stance for these greyhounds, helping as many as possible find loving homes, some here in the US.

Imagine impressing your Thanksgiving and Christmas guests with this 8" by 18" piece of art by Susan Lewis: "Table Runners"- a lineup of twenty of Ms. Lewis' colorful and creative greyhound characters designed to entertain both sides of your table!

And then, allow it's true value to warm your heart. 100% of funds earned by this raffle will help to stabilize the medical bank account of Greyhound Rescue and Rehab. Even with numerous fundraisers for Knuckles, bills remain to be paid and greyhounds like Paula and Blue with serious breaks continue arriving on their doorstep- these folks just can't say no.

Though a single $5 ticket will win this visual reminder for the winning family's Thanksgiving table, surely each one of us will be giving thanks that day for the selfless volunteers all over the country who do what GRR does for retiring racers. Consider making a Thanksgiving gesture by purchasing a ticket or make a direct contribution to GRR. You just might be rewarded with a valuable family heirloom.

Congratulations to Gail Hill of Reserve, LA
for helping us reach $1019 in ticket sales-
we've sent a check for $1250 to
GPA Senior Sanctuary of Florida

It only seems appropriate for the Brockhoff Family of 7 senior greyhounds (and Stu!) to end our year of fundraising with a benefit for other seniors.

This pawa shell pendant will appeal to almost everyone with its large 8Ball and extravagant herringbone chain- and it comes with a very special jewelry box to keep all your greyt goodies in!

Congratulations to: Sherry Kilpatrick, Gale Tereszcuk,
Susan Lawrence, Liz Ardell, Christine Titchen, and Kathy Walsh
for helping us reach $564 in ticket sales for our very first Refund Raffle!
We've sent a check to
GPA/Massachusetts

The first event in this new series offers SIX especially created Christmas pendants by Bergitt Helleman. Each pendant is one inch in length (or height), is embellished with a sterling Dave (or 8Ball), and dangles it's own little colorful ornament. Pendants are hung from an 18" sterling snake chain.

This benefit is being held in memory of Links, JJ, and FloraDorable, and in honor of their parents, two tireless greyhound volunteers, Halise Shrago and Martha Kohberger. Proceeds will be contributed to their home group.
