What's a "REFUND RAFFLE"?
Each raffle in this series will run between 2-3 weeks. We hope that if you continue to purchase tickets in upcoming raffles, too, you'll eventually WIN one of our more extravagant items, but if you don't, you will at least take comfort in the fact that at some point, if you've accumulated receipts for more than $250 in ticket purchases,
we'll refund $50 of your raffle dollars directly to your own adoption group!

The fact that racetracks are closing means more and more greyhounds require kenneling and transportation to adoption groups in distant realms - a project of greyt expense for those involved. Consequently, we at NCG, are reserving raffle events to benefit those organizations who not only incur rehabilitation costs but also the high gas prices for long distance hauls.

Among those individuals and organizations who take on these enormous projects, one of the first to come to mind is Dr. Heather Weir of Almost Home for Hounds. Dr. Weir has recently been accepting dogs from as far as Florida. She not only becomes their veterinarian, she transports them to adoption groups, too!
This raffle will assist with the cost of delivering greyhounds to Greyhound Pets, Inc, Royal Hounds, and Northwest Canadian Greyhound League on January 14th. If weather permits and funds are available, there may be another January haul to Golden State Greyhound Adoption.
AHH's facility in Nunn, includes a Welcome Room for new arrivals, a special room for seniors, a long term living room with its own TV, and immaculately maintained kennels, all to house am average of 50 greyhounds at any time.

Not only does Dr. Weir deliver completely vetted and profiled greyhounds where they're needed, she is also a teaching veterinarian at Colorado State University.
